I have to admit that I have a list of misnamed holidays. Many holidays have good ideas but they are buried under the what the holiday is actually used for. Thanksgiving turns into a day of gluttony instead of thankfulness to God. Christmas, well I think we see the problem there. Labor Day is also on my list because unless you’re a woman going into labor or a convenience store worker or something similar, very little work is going to happen on that day. Weird that we have a day off to celebrate workers isn’t it?
In the spirit of the holiday, I did nothing yesterday. Not literally or anything just I did not do anything disciplined related. It was pretty true for the weekend really and honestly I think the whole Labor Day weekend is just that final stop before kids go back to school, farmer bring in the crop and all of use hit that last rush before winter descends on us and shuts the world down.
Back to work is the theme for this week so I have some blogging to do today to get caught up for missing a day, I have some treadmill time and lifting time ahead of me today as well and choir and worship team practice at the church. It should be busy and full of actually Labor. 😉
Blessings and Cheers!!!
