I got into the tub in more of a falling motion than gently setting myself into the water. The water was hot but I didn’t mind. I had been outdoors in the half cold of the winter these days. I don’t know what is going on with the weather. It seems to oscillate between cold and wet and cold and snowy and this has my middle-aged body desiring the warmth of water on my skin. More for my joints and bones than anything else I loved the heat these days. As the water settled over me body and the suds of the added bubble bath covered me, I let out a sigh of relief combined with comfort.
Even though I had bought the manor house, I had chosen not to live in it. I had this romantic notion that I would carry Tequila over the threshold for the first time and it would also be the first night I would actually sleep in the place. Tequila agreed that she too did not want to live there until the time both would live their together. I had been their several times checking on Tequila’s progress I decorating and renovating the place. It was incredibly nice. The master bathroom had just been completed and I had decided to give it a test run before I went back to the pub. The tub was designed really to holds three people but given my size it would probably do well for me a Tequila with a little room to spare. The one nice thing now is that it was large enough that even I could have my body complete submerged with only my head above the waterline. It felt good.
It was a nice break from my job of being a bartender slash commander of the local branch of the Silver Shields. The thing is the weather probably bothered the undead vampires we watched for more than it bothered us. The cold makes them a little more stiff. The fact that Christmas was approaching also kept the evil forces in check a little. I wasn’t worried about an attack. I was more worried about my people being less vigilant because nothing was going on. The Shadow War has been like that. Lots of tedium with moments of sheer terror is what it is most of the time. Right now we were heavy into tedium.
I closed my eyes and found myself dozing slightly. I was felt myself floating in the realm of half-sleep when the door between the master bath and the bedroom opened and as my eyes snapped open I saw Tequila walk in. She was dressed in a towel and had another towel under her arm along with a bag that probably contained all the things women use that mysteriously make them beautiful. She stopped short when she saw me.
“Oh, sorry boss. I seem to have had the same idea you did. I will come back later if you want.”
I thought for a second.
“Honestly Tequila. I just started. Doesn’t your shift start soon?’
“Yes, but I can always do this later.”
“No, get in. We can share the water.”
“Ok. Close your eyes and no peeking.”
I closed my eyes. I would have to admit I did think about peaking but I simply imagined Tequila dropping her towel and then approaching the tub. I heard her enter the water and I was right, the tub was big enough for both of us with some room to spare. She sat down in the tub across for me and I felt her presence with me as she sank down into the warm soapy water.
“Ok, you can open your eyes now.”
Tequila was sitting across from me and the water line covered her completely. She was sitting up more than me so the waterline was more around her upper chest and revealed only a slight bit of cleavage. He long black hair fell across her shoulders and the ends of it were in the water. The soap suds pretty much obscured the rest.
“Wow. This is nice boss. You have the water just right.”
“I don’t know. It seems to have gotten hotter.”
“Now boss, I would remind you of our agreement. No sex until we are married.”
“Have no intention of violating said agreement. I simply am acknowledging facts.”
“Boss, such talk leads to breaking agreements.”
I sighed. She was right, so I settled into simply enjoying the moment. It isn’t often that a man can sit in a tub with a naked female and just enjoy the simplicity of being naked. So we talked and I helped her get ready for work. She turned around once so I could wash her back and I did the same for her. She dunked herself under to get her hair wet and I helped her shampoo that as well. In the end she said she felt clean and was ready to get dressed for work. I however the more I touched her felt biology burning and it was having an effect on one particular part of my body.
“Well, it is your turn to close your eyes my dear. I need to get out.”
“You forget I saw all of you naked at the beach party. You have no special tattoos to hide.”
“Yeah, I know. It’s just I am slightly…”
I looked sheepish and she laughed.
“Sorry, biology is a powerful force, Tequila.”
“Ok, I will close my eyes so as not to see you in your full glory. I will wait until the day we are wed.”
She closed her eyes giggling as she did and I got out of the tub. I wrapped a towel around my waist and then told her it was OK for her to look.
“Ok now your turn, boss. Could you hold the towel out for me?”
O picked up her body towel and held it out. I closed my eyes and heard once again the familiar sounds of slashing water. Then I felt her snuggle into the towel and I wrapped her in it. Before I opened my eyes though I felt her lips against mine.
“Thanks for being a gentleman.”
I opened my eyes to see her pick up her extra towel and bag and leave the bathroom, closing the door behind her. Even wrapped in a towel, she looked good.
Yeah, I am a gentleman. Then I looked down toward my towel around my waist. Well, at least most of me is a gentleman.
