I have spent the weekend thinking about how the next year is going to work when it comes to this blog. Mostly I am trying to get my normal features and my series lined up in a way that allows me to get things done while at the same time keeping the workload even. I think if you have noticed the beginning of the week seems harder for me because the writing is more challenging than later in the week as things get easier. There is also the matter of content and it means a lot of Theology and Bible stuff gets thrown to the beginning of the week and the other stuff for the most part get near the end. I am trying to even this out a little. As I look to next year I also want my goal setting to be done much better than last year as far as terms of maintenance and continuing in them during the entire year. To that end I have made some changes as well to the regular stuff. This next week will be a test to see if this works. yeah I know Christmas is there but let’s be honest busy is always a part of life if you’re trying to achieve things. Holidays just make the road a little more bumpy. So here is how the week will look.
Sunday – The Rabyd Spirit (Formerly Rabyd Discipline) – the idea here is to break my personal life into its three basic work areas – Spirit, Soul and Body. Rabyd Spirit will be dealing with the Leadership, Ministry, Spiritual Disciplines and Celebration.
Monday – Sermon Redux – A look at Sunday’s sermon in retrospect, Rabyd Opinion – Me giving my opinion on some aspect of life which will be whatever is bothering me at the moment so it is an opportunity to vent, rant or both.
Tuesday – Bible Series (Currently – The Book of Acts) – The goal is to have me working through some book of the Bible all the time piece by piece, Rabyd Philosophy – This is a little more focused on philosophy in general, my libertarianism politics although this will not always be political sometimes just lifestyle philosophy.
Wednesday – Cold Reading (Currently – Ten Commandments Trifecta) – Reading a book ‘cold’ (that is having never read it before) piece by piece and offering commentary, The Rabyd Writer’s Soul (Formerly Rabyd Writer) – I kept the Writing part centered as this is focused on my writing but it will no include my Reading, Family and Financial goals as well.
Thursday – Theology Series (Currently – Biblical Inspiration – The Final Quest) – Looking at some aspect of theology, might be Theology for Dummies from time to time or just a theological issue I am struggling with and trying to clear up in my head. This is a theology pub after all and sometimes theology just has to ferment a little., The Christian Marriage Bed – My views of human sexuality in the context of Christian Marriage.
Friday – Rabyd Apologetics – Continued efforts as offering up the reason for the hope that dwells in my that the Christian message is true, Political Series (Currently – Looking at the Bill of Rights) – Just a look at Politics from my perspective. Right now I am looking at the Bill of Rights but it could be anything related to the political scene.
Saturday – The Open God Through the Scriptures – My continued long term project looking through the Bible as an Open Theist. This is one of those things where I will not post it if I don’t feel it is ready to be posted. Might take a while. , The Body Rabyd – Looking at the nutrition, strength, flexibility and cardio aspects of fitness that are supposed to be a part of my life.
Every Ten Posts – Theology Pub – The Theology Pub is just a part of this theology pub and every ten posts it will still appear. The only change I am making is that this will not end the day of blogging as I will still have to finish all the posts due for the day.
Random Posts – I as always leave the right to inject a random post about something if I feel it is necessary.
I am using this week to test run this new format so I will see if it needs to be adjusted. This means of course I will be using up fourteen of my remaining eighteen posts for the year after this one. That means the last ‘week’ of the year I will be posting once a day up to The Ball. It will make an interesting end to the year I think.
Blessings and Cheers!!!
