I don’t know about many other people but when people tell me water is water I have to sigh a little. I can taste differences in water and that started with growing up with a well. Our well water as a kid was heavy in iron content and it tasted like it. Oddly it made it taste metallic enough that in my formative years this is the taste of water I enjoy. It was clean but had iron like taste but I liked it. For some reason now I am not a fan of water that does not have a mineral taste to it to this day. My parents changed all this with a water softener and filter and you know what? I couldn’t stand the stuff it produced.
In relationship to nutrition when I consider water it is more than a simple choice of what I think will hydrate me best. if I don’t like the taste of it, I will not drink much of it. For many years my choice was Sam’s Choice Water because it had mineral additives to help the taste of it. Now my local Wal-Mart only carried very small cases of it (12 units) I used to buy like four cases at once because given my size I needed to drink about six bottle a day. Now they don’t carry the large cases and the cost is actually higher. I now am on a quest to find an affordable bottle water that also has a mineral taste to it – not heavy – that I will actually drink. The at home filter picture is not working for me. I hate the taste of it.
Nutrition – Mostly water this week so that was good. carbs slightly reduced which is not as good. Going to see if I can keep up the water part and reduce the carbs. At least this week was pretty junk food free as well.
Flexibility – Some stretching not a lot though and certainly not consistent.
Cardio and Strength – Not existent so need a lot of work here.
I may write on this in more detail next week but one of the things I have come to recognize about myself is I like the isolation of exercise. I hate being watched, observed or interrupted when I exercise. It is the simple fact that physical exercise and meditation cross over for me so I don’t like either disturbed.
Blessings and Cheers!!!
