Sometimes I like to write philosophy and other times I just soon not. What I mean about that is that there is some serious philosophy I like to engage in where we are digging into the deeper meaning of life, libertarianism and other issues. Other times I would soon just deal with what I would call the pursuit of wisdom.
The Book of Rabyd is a book I started a long time ago. It was where I would file away the wise sayings and truisms that I wanted to keep in my head and that still for the most part guide my life. My idea is if God were to add another book to the Bible some of the concepts would be there from the Book of Rabyd. The Book of Rabyd also counts very heavily on God having a sense of humor and Him not taking it too seriously.
In some senses I suppose the book of Rabyd is also my legacy to pass to my kids, grandkids and future generations. I have little in the way of money so perhaps the ‘riches’ of my peculiar wisdom and wit will have to suffice. Part of the Book of Rabyd comes from my father’s own wise sayings so perhaps in sense the Book of Rabyd has already been passed on from him to me. In any case there are times I will deal with serious philosophical subjects but I also think there is a need for simple living wisdom. When it comes up I hope you will enjoy it and perhaps learn something that will help you.
Blessings and Cheers!!!
