Well Week Three of Spring Board 2015 is in the can an I must say every workout makes me feel better and better. I am now actually pushing some reasonable weight levels and I think by the end of Spring I will indeed be very close to the levels I was lifting before I got lazy. Now, I must focus on one more week of 4×8 and then the 4x10s begin. I want to get back to beating miles stones but I need to put in the effort where I am standing by the last one I have already passed long ago. I will only consider myself to be making progress when I begin to stand on the last bit of familiar territory and am looking at the new milestone I need to reach in the distance.
The place I had been standing before my little vacation is easily seen in my records. I was doing 4X10s for squats with the final set at 335lbs., deadlift was at 305lbs. and I had just broken 200lbs. for bench press. There are numerous other milestones other than those three but those are the central ones. There are also the simple milestones of just feeling well and looking as best as possible. The intensity level though is going to have to steadily increase.
Flexibility – I need to find those beginning yoga videos this week or I will have to order new ones. I need to switch over very soon as my full body stretch is finally getting fairly easy.
Cardio – I am going to try to get my stationary bike fixed with my treadmill out of action. The seat on it is jammed and I simply need to get it unstuck and find a way to hold it up. probably needs the batteries replaced as well. This would be good non-impact cardio with variable resistance. If not then I will look for something I can do outside.
Weight Lifting – Besides shifting to 4X10 after this coming week I am also looking at adding more exercises to each body part. I also am looking as changing my split as far as day order. I really need to work on my weak areas and the best way to do that is move them forward in the week. The best days are right after rest days to get the best results and my chest has always been a weakness so I want to find a way to make it Day 1.
Nutrition – Not concentrating here yet but definitely doing my best to get things to a pure water intake. By May I will probably have a more formal plan of nutrition.
Been a good week, looking forward to wrapping up one month of training.
