I really feel I am getting close to a lot of new things that may signal the beginning of a new personal era for me. I am looking at new part-time jobs, school and even is political opportunity. It really feels like a lot of new doors are being considered and tried. the question remains as to what will happen. Predictions are terrible things to make, especially about the future. Perhaps what it is for me that there is a feeling of a lot of old stuff closing down behind me and I am standing on the shore watching the ice break up and waiting to see what ship will take me to the other side. There could be a new era here for Ed Raby, Sr. but I am not sure what it will be.
That said, the new will be anchored in the old. I will still be a writer, reader, pastor and a person who pursues physical fitness. I will continue to write on this blog. Who I am is not changing so much as what my activities will be is being added to – possibly. I must confess it is the unknown factors that bother me the most. Nothing to do but do what I can and wait.
Reading – I have learned that reading lists might be better if they had rest weeks between books. I have always had a simple goal of having the habit of reading one book a week so I will continue to work on that.
Finances – School is on the brain right now and I am wondering when I will know for certain I will be accepted. I already have everything in so it is simply a matter of will the school accept me for the Fall 2015.
Family – My oldest child Ed, Jr. turned 25 yesterday. I am not sure how this makes me feel. It does not seem that long ago that we brought him home. Now he is getting ready to be married himself and has his own career. Time is a relentless
Writing – Blogging right now is involving many changes. I am starting to a new theological series on the Atonement, starting two new Biblical studies on both James and Galatians and after my Bill or Rights series is finished this week, I will be changing things up to looking at the rest of the amendments to the Constitution which should interesting because of the issues involved and a study of history. In any case many things are ending and a lot of new beginnings for new subjects.
Blessings and Cheers!!!
