I have many mother’s in my life who deserve mention. I will start with the eldest my grandmother Alice who is 95 years old. My mom’s mom she has always been an inspiration of humor and love. To my mother Joan who has been on of my best friends for quite some time long after she stopped being the authority figure in my life. My wife Jody who was and still is a fabulous mother to our three children and still another of my best friends as well as other things 😉 Finally, there is my daughter Patience who is now a fine mother in her own right. She does such a good job as mother that she shines when I watch her. My granddaughter Jane knows for sure that she is loved and cared for.
Mothers make up a large part of people’s lives. Some of us my have many mothers who have adopted us. Women who influence us in a positive direction and show their love by taking on many children beyond the ones they gave birth too. To them I would say thanks you are half of what each person needs to grow up strong in this very challenging world. Thank you.
This week I have a lot of decisions that I and others must make ahead of me. Many of these decisions will affect the course of my life and I am a little apprehensive of some of them. I know however that they need to be made. I am ready to have a good week because of this situation especially since last week was so lousy given my allergies. I feel much better and I am ready for some change in my life if for no other reason than to have something else to be a steward over.
Celebration – Happy Mother’s Day!
Ministry – The church that is considering me to be its pastor in addition to my current church is now pastor-less and they are now full on in the decision process of what to do. There are some options here because apparently there is someone else who might be interested as well. The proposal is multi faceted with pastor, co-pastor and associate pastor being thrown around as titles. I just don’t know as the situation could be more difficult than I want and perhaps some other solution will present itself.
Leadership – Tomorrow the board I used to sit on will make its decision as to whether to put me on the Mecosta-Osceola Intermediate School District. I do have to make an appeal of why it should be me. I know my strengths ad weaknesses but the decision is ultimately in their hands and so I will present and wait for their decision.
Spiritual Disciplines – I think in sickness one finds some solace in meditation and prayer but even then praying and meditation in a fog is not the best thing. I feel much more like I am in a position to interact with God now that my allergies have diminished in their effects.
Blessings and Cheers!!!
