This week begins the Next Three Months which will be known as Summer Sledgehammer 2.0. This is about muscular endurance, fat burning and flexibility. I really am aiming for becoming the incredible shrinking pastor over the next three months so here we go.
Strength – Muscular speed and endurance. 3×15 with very short rests. I am not changing weights by pyramiding either so it is the same weight with high reps and low rest. Each day will have five exercises on a three-day split which will repeat twice a week. Looking to build muscular endurance and leanness.
Flexibility – My yoga video will arrive in the middle of this week and then I will move from a strong stretching routine to actual yoga. I would like for beginning stuff to be routine at least by the end of August.
Cardio – Once I buy a sledgehammer, I want to find a good sledgehammer routine that is more about cardio. I am thinking 100 blows fast and faster on a tire. Simple but effective.
Nutrition – This is more of transition thing this week. Need to dump my usual fare to meat, veggies, fruit, nuts and berries. Paleo stuff with lots of water. I am only allowing oatmeal as a carb and only at breakfast. I am reserving cheats to social functions and if at a prepared meal for the household I can’t find something legal to eat then I go hungry for a little fasting. It is more about not eating the wrong things but I prefer to focus on what I can do and do that.
