Disclaimer: The subject of this post is human sexuality in the context of Christian belief. It is intended for mature audiences. If you are under the age of 18 you should have your parents read it and judge if it is appropriate for you to read. Parents, lighten up about this with your teens because quite frankly I am trying to undo a lot of Christian mistakes in informing and educating people about sex. You have been warned and encouraged, enter at your own risk. Also, I am by no means a sexual expert, just a guy who has been married to the same woman for 25 plus years and a pastor who has for what ever reason been exposed to a lot of sexual issues during his ministry. If you don’t find your answer here, keep searching there is probably someone out there that has it.
Yeah, this is about oral sex but it actually starts with a discussion of eunuchs but I am not sure that is the right word so much this might be a reference to cross-dressers and homosexuals. The idea that is presented is that oral sex is practiced only by those who there is no other option and even then the Kama Sutra seems to take a very dim view of cunnilingus that is oral sex between women or on women. The idea of cleanliness seems to influence the Kama Sutra at this point more than the desire to please one’s partner.
Then it seems to say though that class of the citizen has a lot to do with it. Lower classes of people are free to engage in mouth congress but the upper classes are steered away from it. That said it seems that the Kama Sutra is concerned with time, place and circumstances. honestly there is little advice here as to what pleasures can be derived from oral congress but rather that one acts according to their class and the circumstances.
I can only say that Christianity says little about oral sex so for me it has always fallen under that category of it is none of anyone’s business what a married couple does in their bedroom regarding oral sex. Homosexuality is however a different story as the Bible has several statements in both Testaments that it is not OK. This was a frustrating part of the Kama Sutra to read though as the writer seems to personally find oral congress distasteful. If you can have actual sex why would you settle for oral sex seems to be the tone.
