Well we are almost to Thanksgiving and for any student out there that means you are in the homestretch of the semester. I am actually only a few projects and reading assignments away from being done with almost all my work other than exams so I am feeling really good about that. My main goal is that by the end of Thanksgiving break to have everything done that can be done to the end of the semester. Some things I can’t do anything about because professors release them a few days before they are due but all the known things can be finished by then.
All in all this semester has been an adjustment thing for me. I have learned that I cannot do things the way I did them when I was in my twenties. Age requires a little more effort but in different ways than I ma used to. I am hoping to take these lessons into next semester where I am taking 18 credits and will have to be more on the ball. This semester I was simply asking the questions can I do this and next semester will be about whether I can keep up a high pace of studies and still do well. I know I can be a good student at this level, now it is time to take it up a notch.
The Spirit Rundown:
Leadership – The MOISD board position I occupy is coming along. I feel that community leadership is important but I am still in the early part of this game so I will be patient and play my cards carefully.
Ministry – The church is what it is. I do however wish for many things but as the old saying goes. if wishes were fishes the world would be an ocean. basically trying to focus on what I can do, not what is not possible.
Spiritual Disciplines– I am now more firmly convinced than ever that I need a month sabbatical which I think June of next year would work. In that month, finding someplace to go by myself for a week would be great if it can be arranged.
Celebration – Thanksgiving coming up this week. One of the better holidays.
Blessings and Cheers!!!
