Ayn Jones’ fifth term was not a difficult to tell a story as the last one although the story was brief and to the point because the story made good sense and practically told itself. It was also a very productive term as one thing I have had good success on is learning skills each year. Thus is actually a little unusual as skill rolls can be missed but that has been very rare with this character. It has made her development and history go much faster than I thought it would. This is however good news as I can start telling more detailed stories again when her real adventures begin.
I rolled a 7 for sub-branch assignment for this term so she was moved to Operations. With this move only Detached Duty remains and unless she gets it next term, she will end with it anyway after mustering out of the Scout Service. Her new sub-branch gives her the Leader-1 skill.
First year (age 39 – note at this point she ages one year physically to now be age 20). Assignment: 8 (Base), Survival: Automatic, Promotion: 9 Moves from RS-13 to RS-14 (Senior Administrator). Skills: 9 – Operations list – Computer (second level)
Second Year (Age 40). Assignment:11 (Mission), Survival: 7, Skill:10 – Operations list – Ship Tactics. Dealing with the war aftermath was a logical conclusion.
Third Year (Age 41) Assignment:12 (Special Mission), Survival: 4(close call), Skills: 9 Operations list (again) – Pilot (third level). This close call was the excitement of the term. Pilot was increased so I made it about being a pilot and a sneaky scout type mission to make it more sensible.
Fourth Year (Age 42) Assignment: 9 (Mission), Survival:12, Skills: 8 – Operations list (yet again) Gunnery Cascade – she chooses Turret Weapons. Dull year because of he high survival roll, but I used it to get another love interest in and that justified the weapons training.
She picked up 3 brownie points this term (1 for promotion, 1 for the term and 1 for the special mission). She is saving them for Mustering Out but now she has a ton so she might use some of them to get the skills she wants next term.

Character Notes: Ayn Jones underwent a anagathics experiment from the time she was 18 to 19. The experiment was a success and in addition to retarding her aging process to 10% normal (1 year for every ten – she ages one year every time her chronological Age hits a year with a nine(9) on the end), it also added 2 points to her Strength, Dexterity and Endurance. Her original UPP was: 88AC8A. She has a degree in Stellar Navigation from Aurora University. Brownie points – 12
The Pilot-3 now makes her as a pilot in he same category as a Medical-3 would make a person a Doctor. She is also getting very close to maxing out her skills as she now has 24 out of the maximum of 28 levels possible for her. It is very possible for this to be done by next term but even if it is not I might take her out of the Scout Service because it would be nice to have an open skill still left to learn as she adventures. She still could also gain two more points of intelligence and thus earn two more skill slots. The default skill of Ship’s Boat and Robot Ops also increased one because of the increases in Pilot and Computer.
This next term will probably be her last so it will mean mustering out of the Scout service and that will set up the real adventures being told as she strikes out on her own.
