I always love it when people tell me they are on a 12 week program to get fit. My question always comes: “what are you going to do after the twelve weeks is over?”. It is an important question. I mean I divided my year up into 13 week periods that cover a fourth of the year but the next one is always on my mind. The issue is consistency and that is not something you will learn from a 12 week program. It comes from more of a lifestyle mindset that makes your twelve week program one small step in the greater and bigger picture. The mindset becomes: today what am I going to do? This week what am I going to do? This month what am I going to do? This year what am I going to do? For the rest of my life, what am I going to do? It is about building a lifestyle.
This week was good but for the next four weeks there is no school schedule really interfering with my lifting schedule. So I ma going to go MTThF for the next four weeks with a pretty basic split. Legs, Chest/Delts, Back/Traps, Arms. Because I wont have as much lifting to do each day I can get the stretching and cardio in as well.
The Body Rundown:
Strength: It was good week, got everything in and broke a few PRs.
Flexibility: Time to add (I mean it this time) some stretching to start things off.
Cardio: See above.
Nutrition: January through March’s nutrition plan is in the works.
Blessings and Cheers!!!
