I really hate it when I get sick but I have learned that only certain sicknesses I can fight through and lift anyway. This week was not one of them. I must have caught a mild case of food poisoning that has been dogging me for the last three days and so I have not been to the gym because I figured I might have a blowout of a different kind that would not make me a popular person. With Christmas the next two days and still feeling a little lousy, I have decided a week off is a good idea but not because I wanted one. I would just like to make sure I can eat before I go and lift weights. In any case, I am expecting that after New Year the gym will get crowded for a month or so and then slowly fade back to its own normality. Good thing I am planning on early mornings.
