With all the deaths lately in the entertainment world I would be remiss in not at least offering up some words about what some of those deaths have meant to me. One of my favorite songs is “Under Pressure” by Queen and one of the players in that was David Bowie. There is simply too much genius with two great performers like Mercury and Bowie working together. It is really a simple rift and song but I never tire of hearing it. Perhaps today’s performers would learn that simplicity and skill I would like rock and pop music more these days. See Below:
David Bowie was someone that I loved as a performer and mostly becasue he was truly one of a kind. There is almost a prophetic line in this song about the ‘last dance’. My most favorite work of his becasue he acted in it and wrote and performed all the music was Labyrinth. He also was the first guy that taught me that you could leave your tie down and still look stylish and cool.
So with that I leave you with a line from one of my favorite David Bowie songs Underground: “It’s only forever, not long at all”
Blessings and Cheers!!!
