I usually love learning but this is a little much. It is not the workload this semester that is getting to me but that I am dealing with many of the same issues in various classes but based on the course we are approaching these problems from that class’ perspective. The challenge is keeping them straight. Because Sociology approaches these problems differently that Social Psychology and that approach is different from Ethics. That and I am taking both semesters of US History which both professors use history to teach people to think about those same issues and top it all with Intermediate Algebra and well – My Brian hurts. Not so much from the difficulty of the subjects but more so from having to juggle them all and remember which is which.
That said it has been a couple of good weekends at the church in a row now. The service time of 10 am will now be tried at least and so I am really rolling the dice here because I want this to work in conjunction with a Bible study where the old service time was, that will hopefully become a full-fledged Sunday School. I have a lot riding on this personally and professionally, so I want this to work.
The Spirit Rundown:
Ministry: See Above other than to say despite the fact that to be a pastor in a congregational church requires leading by respect and influence I have managed to finally get some things to go my way and people are on board.
Spiritual Disciplines: Lots of prayer and meditation this week.
Leadership: Calm at the MOISD right now. The vision has been set I think now it is just time to implement and make sure things get done.
Celebration: Coming up on my dad’s birthday on Sunday. Usually a reflective celebration for me.
Blessings and Cheers!!!
