The second week of getting up in the early AM and getting in workouts is over and it went very well. Monday in fact was completely quiet as no one but me was there for about a half hour. There is something very comforting or meditative about the sound only of my breathing and the clang of weights. I really had a good time lifting this week and I am looking forward to next week. This has been a solid week of me time with the iron.
The Body Rundown:
Cardio: Walking on Campus has been truly challenging this week as I have added a couple of books to my bag and it has made it heavy enough to be challenging.
Flexibility: The only thing I really need to add in my opinion is some stretching.
Nutrition: Things are better but not perfect. My real motivation is two-fold, I have a doctor’s appointment in a couple of months and I don’t want any BS conversations with the Doc about losing weight or any of that crap so I need to cut down soon. In June is my son’s wedding so I want to continue to slim down until then at least. I think the cut diet begin next week then to make sure I get a jump on it.
Weight Training: Going to up the rep range from 8-10 to 10-12. I also will only raise the weight if I get a full 12 reps on the last set and I will have to drop it down if I do not get at least 8 reps. Less weight (just a little less) with more reps.
