It is rare that a book series along with its corresponding movie series has such a deep effect on me. I have already talked on this from a spiritual perspective but I have to give Suzanne Collins credit for writing some very deep books. As much as I guess that The Hunger Games would be classified as young adult science fiction it has the teeth of something far more sophisticated. This was unexpected for me as someone who in generally avoids the popular because often what is popular often plays to the lowest common denominator in humanity. I guess I will have to reconsider that notion.
Once if finish The Hunger Games, I plan on going back to Harry Potter and then swing back around to The Hunger Games. The idea is to read a book, watch a movie, write a review for each, write a comparison between the movie and the book and then move to the next book. It will be a long project but I think I can get it done before June is over. Then I need to finish Atlas Shrugged and do the same thing to it and its movies. once that is Done then i want to focus on the works of Ayn Rand.
The Soul Rundown:
Writing: I started work on the outline for my nonfiction book but I just have not had a lot of time.
Reading: Already noted what I am reading
Finances: Everything is devoted to June. Wedding, Anniversary and seeing old friends on the list.
Family: My son will be here tomorrow and for the weekend. It will be good to see him.
Blessings and Cheers!!!
